Only in times of crisis are we forced to change our mindsets. Otherwise, we don’t really have to. But, as leaders, we need to be continually aware of the mindset we are in to determine if it will drive the organizational performance we want. It’s not always obvious, but we can gain a competitive edge by changing mindsets and shifting performance before we have to. The main issue? If the mindsets that block change don’t change, the change won’t happen.
