Since joining Gap International in 1990, Cindy Fischer has been a cornerstone of the company’s growth, playing a critical role in establishing and optimizing its corporate infrastructure. She has led key areas such as human resources, operations, facilities, information technology, finance, and strategy. Additionally, Ms. Fischer led the team behind the design and construction of Gap International's award-winning headquarters, a testament to her vision and leadership in shaping the company’s environment to support its dynamic growth.


In her consulting role, Ms. Fischer leads transformative growth initiatives for multinational companies, with a focus on Europe and Africa. She is particularly known for her expertise in organizational design and led the creation of Gap International’s Breakthrough Strategy design and execution process. Her work has empowered companies across diverse industries—including pharmaceuticals, mining, and utilities—to unlock their potential, achieve breakthrough results, and drive long-term success.


Ms. Fischer is also a co-leader in the development of Gap International's cutting-edge research within the Genius Institute, a hub for innovation that produces groundbreaking work on human potential and performance. As part of her efforts to drive meaningful transformation, she also leads the Executive Challenge Course and Building a Breakthrough Executive—immersive programs that empower senior executives and their teams to tackle complex business challenges and achieve remarkable results.


Prior to joining Gap International, Ms. Fischer owned and operated a successful software company in Germany, specializing in the licensing, development, and distribution of U.S. software products in foreign languages. Earlier in her career, she worked as a chemical engineer at Chevron USA, where she gained invaluable experience in operational excellence and problem-solving within a global enterprise.


Ms. Fischer holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
